Physical Therapy

Capital City Garden’s team of physical therapists concentrates on maximizing independence through exercise, manual therapy, gait training, balance training, and modalities, with the goal of making activities of daily living as normal as possible for life at home, work, or while at our facility. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art therapy equipment specifically designed for therapeutic exercise to help you recover from hip and knee replacement, stroke recovery, and more.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy helps our residents in adapting to their social and physical environment by mastering tasks essential for daily living.

Areas of treatment may include:

• Functional independence: eating, bathing, toileting, homemaking, cooking, etc.
• Maintenance of wellness: dressing and grooming
• Prevention of further disability: home assessments and modifications, adaptive equipment
• Increasing safety awareness

Speech Therapy

At Capital City Gardens, our Speech-Language Pathologists work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for our residents. Our dedicated, and professional team establishes an individualized treatment plan that addresses: oral motor weakness, word-finding issues, dysphagia, social communication difficulties, literacy impairment,  structural language, and voice impairment.
